"I use this for work pretty much..."
I use this for work pretty much every day, and the lag with bigger files gets old fast. It slows everything down and makes simple tasks way more frustrating than they should be. I thought about reaching out to customer service, but I don’t have much faith they’ll do anything beyond sending a generic response.

"I wasn’t totally sure what to expect going..."
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect going in, but setting up custom builds ended up being straightforward. It saved me a lot of time compared to doing everything manually.

"The keyboard shortcuts do work, but..."
The keyboard shortcuts do work, but they’re a bit confusing to figure out. I kept wishing there was an actual person I could ask for help instead of just clicking around and guessing. It’s not terrible, but the lack of human support made the whole thing more frustrating than it needed to be.

"I use Sublime Text on both my..."
I use Sublime Text on both my Mac and my Windows machine, and it just doesn’t feel quite the same between them. The shortcuts, settings, and little UI stuff keep throwing me off, especially with that one thing that always seems slightly different. I expected it to feel more consistent across platforms

"My gut said package control would be a hassle"
I had a feeling package control was going to be frustrating, i was right. The installs kept failing over and over, and when I tried looking for help, there just wasn’t much useful info out there. Annoying experience overall.

"The plugins do make things easier, and..."
The plugins do make things easier, and there are definitely a lot to choose from. But whoever runs this needs to organize it better because it can feel messy trying to find what you actually need.

"Am I missing something, or is project navigation a bit messy?"
Am I missing something here, or is finding files in projects more annoying than it should be? It feels like I spend too much time digging around, and it gets frustrating quickly.
"Pretty much what I expected"
I had a feeling this would be easy to use, and it kind of proved me right. The interface is clean, everything was where I expected it to be, and I was up and running in just a few minutes. No fuss, which is exactly what I was looking for
"Actually feels worth paying for"
I’ll be honest, I kind of felt trapped at first having to pay for a text editor, because it seems like everything useful costs money now. But Sublime Text ended up being one of the rare things I don’t regret buying. The license lasts a long time, and since I use it almost every day, it feels fair.
The best part is not getting dragged into another subscription. I paid once and could just move on with my work, which is a relief. For something this fast and dependable, it feels like I finally got decent value instead of being squeezed for more money every month

"I used Sublime Text for a while, it’s..."
I used Sublime Text for a while, it’s a solid editor once it’s up and running. But on my laptop, the startup time started getting on my nerves. I have a simple standard for a text editor: if I’m just opening one small file, it should pop up fast without making me wait. It’s not awful, and I can see why people like it, but for the way I work, it feels slower than I’d prefer. Kind of disappointing

"The docs were super easy to follow..."
The docs were super easy to follow. The setup and package stuff was explained clearly, and the examples didn’t drag on or waste my time. I was able to figure things out and fix issues quick, so yeah, big W.

"Split editing was a bit disappointing"
I mainly gave Sublime Text a shot because of the split editing feature. And yeah, opening a couple panes is simple enough. But actually keeping everything arranged the way I wanted? Kind of a hassle. Files not quite where I expected. Little adjustments over and over.
Maybe I’m just not the target power user for it, but I thought it would feel a lot smoother. For what it costs, I was hoping for less tinkering and more of that easy, just-works flow.
"I’ve been opening some huge files with..."
I’ve been opening some huge files with it and it loads them fast without freezing up. I’m guessing it’s just better optimized than a lot of similar tools, because it hasn’t given me any trouble so far.
"Feels like someone’s still looking after it"
I’ve been using Sublime Text for a while now, and one thing I’ve always appreciated is that updates come through regularly. They’re not always big or flashy, but there are enough little fixes and tweaks to make it feel like the app is still being actively cared for. It kind of reminds me of tools I’ve stuck with over the years because they just quietly keep getting better

"They’re kind of to blame for..."
They’re kind of to blame for making version control feel this easy. I expected the usual Git headaches, but it just works here with barely any fuss.

"Keeps my old laptop feeling usable"
I was surprised by how light this runs on my older laptop. Even when I have a few big files open, it doesn’t drag everything down or make me feel like I need a new computer. It’s nice when software just does its job quietly and lets me focus on what I’m trying to get done

"Pretty happy with it, honestly"
I wasn’t totally sure what to expect, but it’s actually been working well for me so far. No real complaints yet.

"Pretty easy once I got used to it"
It took me a bit to learn the shortcuts. After a few days, it felt really smooth. Nothing too hard. Just needs a little time.

"Solid and reliable, honestly"
I’ve been using Sublime Text for a while now and it’s just been... really steady. It opens fast, doesn’t randomly crash, and even with bigger files my laptop doesn’t start freaking out or anything. I don’t have a whole lot to complain about, honestly. It’s one of those tools that just does what it’s supposed to do every day, so I keep coming back to it.

"Finally spending less time fighting my editor"
I’ve been using Sublime Text every day, and it just gets out of the way. It opens fast, search is super quick, and jumping between files feels effortless. Small win for me: I finished a little side project cleanup way faster than expected because I wasn’t constantly waiting on my editor or digging around for files...
